Funko's Concept Series pulls from the early Ralph McQuarrie artwork that shaped the look of Star Wars before the cameras rolled, and Chewbacca is one of the more striking departures from the final film. Instead of the familiar Wookiee co-pilot, this take reflects the more alien, feline-featured design McQuarrie sketched during pre-production, complete with the bandolier that survived into the finished character.
This is Pop #387 in the Star Wars line, released as a Galactic exclusive, so it's a harder one to run down than the standard Concept Series releases. A good fit alongside the other McQuarrie-inspired figures in the set, or on its own if concept art is the part of Star Wars history you collect.
